RN - Step Down

Scripps Green Hospital

Job Opportunity

This position involves a day shift, offering a 3x12-hour work schedule from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM. Selected candidates will be required to float across five hospitals to similar or lower acuity units as needed, excluding the Emergency Department (ED). There is an expectation of working four weekend shifts within a four-week cycle, including at least one holiday and a holiday weekend.

Requirements

AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Valid California Registered Nurse license (Temp or Perm, no EMSA)
Minimum two years of concurrent experience in the specialty area
Experience with EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner charting systems within the last six months
Availability for interviews, including the same day and the following three business days
One supervisory-level reference
Willingness to float to ICU, SDU, and Tele RN units as required

Additional Information

Medical/Religious exemptions for COVID-19 vaccination are accepted
Flu vaccination status is currently unknown
Modules are non-billable and must be completed within specific timelines
Return staff and traveler policies apply, along with extension criteria
