PT Veterinary Technician - Westfield Animal Hospital Up to $1,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates, depending on experience! PetVet Care Centers' Westfield Animal Hospital is seeking a PT Veterinary Technician to join our team in Westfield, New Jersey. Position Overview The PT Veterinary Technician supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to patients and clients. Responsibilities include: Conducting animal examinations and interviews, reviewing care plans and records, completing laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging. Taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, drugs, and vaccines, and bandaging and wrapping wounds. Assisting during examinations and surgeries by assembling supplies, restraining patients, and supporting veterinarians. Maintaining medical equipment, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring safe, sanitary, and humane environments. Documenting patient records in a timely and accurate manner and communicating with pet owners as directed. Managing inventory, placing orders, verifying receipts, and maintaining supplies. Participating in continuing education and maintaining updated knowledge of best practices. Performing additional duties as assigned by the Manager or practice. Qualifications (Required) High school diploma or GED. Willing to train. Preferably with surgical experience. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Any surgical experience. Demonstrates care, compassion, and the desire to build rapport. Team orientation and excellent collaboration skills. Dependability and strong organizational skills. Initiative, flexibility, and multitasking ability. Effective communication and customer service orientation. Attention to detail and adherence to standard procedures. Schedule Wednesday from 7:45 AM–9 PM Friday from 7:45 AM–6 PM Additional hours possible, with potential to transition to full‑time. Pay Range $21.60 – $26.40 per hour.
