Asheville Hot Section operations seeks a Director of Quality (Onsite) to provide strategic leadership and direction, ensuring a high‑quality Management System and strong product quality within the organization. Responsibilities Lead the strategic management and direction of the Quality Management System across all levels of the Asheville organization. Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety. Implement and maintain the Site Quality Management System in accordance with current quality standards, reporting performance for continuous improvement. Lead the plant MRB function to efficiently disposition product. Direct day‑to‑day quality and production deliverables and initiatives, prioritizing parts across the value stream. Support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of inspection procedures and technologies. Drive product and process improvements to meet value‑stream quality metric goals (Escapes, Scrap, Rework, Throughput, Process Certification, UPPAP). Organize, promote, and lead quality improvement efforts. Ensure safety is a number one priority, chairing or participating in major site committees for Environmental, Health & Safety. Focus on employee engagement through communication, training, teaming, management practices, and respect to foster a committed workforce. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of relevant experience, OR an advanced degree with 12+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Engineering. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering, with at least 5 years in the aerospace industry. Excellent critical‑thinking skills to identify root causes of complex issues and recommend resolution options. Preferred Strong product Quality experience and leadership within an aerospace prime engine contractor or tier‑1 supplier. Experience managing Quality Management Systems and using MRP/ERP systems in production control, planning, and execution. Solid understanding of conventional quality‑related inspection, NDT/NDI, CMM, and other machine‑shop inspection processes. Solid understanding of aerospace quality requirements. Experience with CORE, Lean Manufacturing, Six‑Sigma, or related continuous‑improvement tools and metrics. Role Details Type: Onsite – employees work primarily onsite at the Asheville location. U.S. citizenship is required. Salary range: $186,200 – $353,800 USD, adjusted for experience, function, and location.
