Explore more about our mission and services at Rotech.com. Overview and Responsibilities Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Technician. Responsibilities include delivery, set up, and maintenance of medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies, and instruction to patients and/or caregivers on proper use and maintenance. The role also includes providing customer service over the phone and in-person to patients and referral sources as needed. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Adheres to company policies and procedures regarding personal protective equipment Assists with updating respiratory grid Available for on-call assignments as needed Completes delivery forms and paperwork including invoices, work orders, manifests, logs, patient care instructions, route sheets, etc. Coordinates verification of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage information Delivers, sets up and maintains equipment at delivery addresses using company/personal vehicle Develops and maintains knowledge of current products, services, and applicable regulations Educates the patient and/or caregiver on safe use and maintenance of delivered items Maintains assigned company vehicle in a clean and safe condition Maintains referral log Manages intake: phone, faxes, data input, tickets, charts, and paperwork Monitors office supplies Identifies patient needs and reports them during morning meetings Prepares CMNs/SOPs for Sales Reps and documents on tracking log Prepares complete and accurate files for Billing Prepares tickets for daily routes Provides service for walk-in patients Reports equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required Works with location personnel to coordinate deliveries Works cooperatively with others and communicates politely with patients and referral sources Manages multiple tasks with attention to detail Performs other duties as assigned Travel Travel via company/personal vehicle to patient homes for set-ups and deliveries Use of a personal vehicle may be required; mileage is reimbursed for company purposes Qualifications Employment is contingent on Background check (company-wide) with individualized assessment as required by law Drug screen where applicable Compliance with healthcare credentialing where applicable Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record where applicable Required Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent required Preferred Education and/or Experience Experience with medical equipment (preferred) One year of related work experience (preferred) Medical terminology (preferred) Skills and Competencies Accurate basic mathematics Clear English communication (oral and written) Ability to interpret various communications Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information Multi-tasking with attention to detail Self-motivated, organized, with time-management and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities Email, internet, and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) Office equipment (fax, copier, printer, phone, computer/tablet) Mechanical aptitude for repair and troubleshooting of equipment Loading, unloading, and tie-down procedures for transported cargo Understanding of home respiratory equipment and supplies Physical Demands Lift and carry office equipment as needed Sit, walk, stand, talk, and listen Close vision for small print on screens and paperwork Lift up to 65 pounds and transport patient equipment Potential exposure to contagious pathogens Drive a company/personal vehicle for most of the workday Compliance with Rotech Respiratory Protection & N95 Fit Testing Policy Rotech Information and Benefits Generous paid time off and paid holidays Overtime pay for non-exempt positions (as applicable) Commission for Account Executives (where applicable) Bonus and incentive opportunities Car, mileage, and telephone reimbursement Employee discount and recognition programs Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(k), HSA, and FSA options Medical, dental, and vision coverage Life insurance and disability coverage Additional health programs and vaccinations offered by the company All positions are posted for a minimum of five days and remain open until filled.
