You will oversee all phases of tissue processing, maintain laboratory standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all phases of tissue processing from fixation through final slide preparationPerform embedding, sectioning, staining, and special histology techniquesMaintain laboratory files, records, and documentation required by regulatory agenciesClean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentsMonitor and restock laboratory supplies to support workflow needsEnsure accuracy, quality, and compliance across all histology processesSupport timely preparation of specimens for diagnostic usePerform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation – RequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDEducation – PreferredCompletion of a Histotechnology program or related technical trainingAssociate's degree in a related fieldExperiencePreferred: Laboratory-related experienceLicensure / CertificationRequired: ASCP Certified Histotechnician (HT)Preferred: Additional ASCP certificationTotal Rewards & BenefitsFlexible PRN schedulingMedical, Dental & Vision InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)401(k) Match + Annual ContributionsTuition AssistanceWellness resources & community perksJoin BayCare and support high-quality diagnostic services through expert tissue preparation and histology processes.
