Position Description:

The CNC Machinist performs detailed machine setups, has G & M code knowledge, and is able to run parts with little to no supervision on either CNC milling or CNC lathe machines.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform machine setups quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Operate machines to produce production runs of parts
• Able to read operation sheets and blueprints
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staff
• Other duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred
• 3+ years of CNC machine operation
• Okuma and Fanuc control knowledge a plus
• G & M code fluency
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
• Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude

Machines & technologies you'll use:

• CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Haas, Okuma)
• CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Mazak, Haas, Okuma)
• CAM Software (Mastercam, Siemens NX)
• CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Haas)
• CNC Lathe (5+ axis) (Mazak, Okuma)
