Radiology Tech Osteoporosis - Part Time

PLEASE NOTE: This is a part time job, 10 hours per week. Workdays for this positionare flexible. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Radiology Specialty Technologist has a minimum of 4 years as a Diagnostic Technologist, has committed hours to FAHC, and functions at an advanced level within the Osteoporosis Center performing a wide variety of bone density procedures. He/She demonstrates progressive knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the Osteoporosis Center. A high level of commitment, advanced skills, and acceptance of responsibility has been developed in performance of dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) and quantitative ultrasonography. A thorough knowledge of radiation procedures and safety is required. He/She assists in the clinical instruction of personnel as needed and participates in research protocols in collaboration with the principal investigator of the Osteoporosis Center and research coordinators. EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCERT. ARRT certified and is licensed with the State of Vermont and eligible to become certified and maintain certification by the ISCD. EXPERIENCE: 4 years experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred. Successfully complete all Radiology competencies using physics of radiation as a background. #J-18808-Ljbffr
