Job Title RN – Oncology Outpatient Location Chapel Hill, NC | Outpatient Schedule / Job Type Contract | Onsite Key Responsibilities Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for oncology patients Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapy infusions, blood products, IV iron, fluids, and electrolytes in an outpatient setting Perform port lab draws and injections in accordance with established standards and protocols Assess patient and family readiness to learn and provide appropriate patient/family education and emotional support Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and revise individualized plans of care, including discharge planning for complex patients Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures — including Epic — to document and deliver care Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience At least 2 years of outpatient chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience required Proficiency with Epic EMR required Experience with chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, IV iron/fluids/electrolytes, port lab draws/injections, and patient/family education required Preferred Experience / Skills BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification (note: ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification is not accepted as a substitute) Why Join Us Opportunity to practice in a specialized outpatient oncology environment with a focus on complex, high-acuity patient populations Work within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered oncology care Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 776355.
