Location: Bloomington Hospital
Position: Assistant Manager of Clinical Operations
Shift: .06 FTE (24 hours weekly) Night Shift 7:00p-7:00a throughout week and weekend
IU Health is Indiana's largest and most comprehensive healthcare system, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through strong clinical leadership and continuous quality improvement. We are seeking a dedicated nursing leader to support clinical operations, foster team empowerment, and drive excellence in patient outcomes.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Manager of Clinical Operations combines clinical expertise with contemporary leadership practices aligned with the IU Health Way to achieve outstanding clinical and organizational outcomes. This role partners with the unit Manager to develop and execute action plans focused on quality and safety improvements, care affordability, and enhancing patient and team member experiences. The incumbent leads the implementation of these plans, analyzes their effectiveness, and fosters an environment where the interprofessional team is empowered to reach excellence. The role promotes evidence-based practices, professional nursing standards, and supports nursing practice advancement. The Assistant Manager is a member of the unit leadership team, overseeing operations staffing 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
