What is it like to work in Subcontract Administration? In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities:

• Delivery and procurement support for major Connectivity, Transport, and Access Systems
• Managing development and sustainment contracts
• Scheduling activities with the supplier
• Helping develop subcontract specifications and requirements, such as statements of works, negotiating and enforcing terms and conditions
• Preparing bid packages
• Evaluating subcontractor proposals
• Negotiating subcontracts
• Issuing properly authorized awards/subcontracts and participating in contract negotiations
• Work closely with all functional areas in order to support multiple suppliers in the evaluation, source solicitation, negotiations, contract preparation and administration
• Conducting cost analysis support, understanding procurement activity under the guidance of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
• Travel possible between 10 to 20% of the time, depending on lifecycle of current contracts.

Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Please note: No clearance is required to apply but an Interim clearance is needed prior to start.

Desired Skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• A post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management.
• Understanding of Government Contracting and working knowledge of the FAR.
• Exposure or knowledge of contract negotiation.
• Customer service experience.
• Utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and multi-task assignments.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure.
• Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
