Deputy Project Manager (DPM)

The Deputy Project Manager (DPM) works closely with the Project Manager (PM) to ensure the efficient and effective execution of the contract. The Deputy Project Manager, acts on behalf of the PM, in their absence, to achieve cost, schedule and performance goals.

Essential Functions of the Position

• Serve as the secondary point of contact with the Government and manage operations at the installation level.
• Attend briefings, conferences, and other Government designated meetings as required in the execution of this effort or as requested by the COR, in the absence of the PM.
• Support the PM in daily responsibilities of keeping contract ran smoothly.
• Synchronize staff and provide direction a needed.
• Participate in recruitment and dismissal process.
• Perform PM job duties in the event of the PM's absence.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The DPM is responsible for all aspects of the effort and must be able to operate with minimal oversight from the corporate headquarters to execute the effort with minimal guidance from the corporate management. The DPM has full authority to act for the Contractor on all matters relating to this contract in the PM's absence.

Physical Demands

• Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

• Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
• Noise level can range from minimal to intense.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Must have general supervisory experience.
• Must be familiar with supply asset management and maintenance management procedures.
• Must have experience in Theater-level asset management, or Corps-level supply, maintenance, or asset management.
• Must have experience with financial management and knowledge of Standard Army Management Systems (STAMIS).
• Must be familiar with and understand ISO and quality management system program level functions.
• Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Must have strong organizational and group presentation skills.
• Well-developed multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Must have computer literacy skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Possess a Valid Drivers' License without special restrictions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Access
• Experience briefing senior military leadership
• Experience with ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management Systems Standard

Security Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
