CT Tech Position - Radiology

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description: The CT Tech is responsible for performing diagnostic CT scans and reviewing requisitions to ensure completeness. This position involves selecting appropriate imaging protocols and administering oral and IV contrast as appropriate for patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring optimal image quality.
• Administer IV and oral contrast media and document procedures accurately.
• Review requisitions and confirm patient details and exam requirements.
• Utilize appropriate protocols and technical factors for CT scans.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to support patient care.
• Float between departments as necessary to meet facility needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of CT Tech experience required.
• Experience in a teaching hospital and community hospital preferred.
• Level I or Level II trauma experience is preferred.
• Certifications: BLS and ARRT-R required; ARRT advanced certification preferred.
• Active Maryland Radiologic Technologist license required upon start.
• Experience with adult acute care, outpatient, Emergency Department, and pediatric acute care required.
• Experience with abdominal, pelvic, chest, and head CT imaging required.
• GE, Siemens, and PACS system experience required.
