Construction Quality Inspector in Elyria

Stevens Engineers & Constructors offers an opportunity for an experienced Construction Quality Inspector to join its Cleveland Operations Team. The Construction Quality Inspector assists Project Managers and Foremen with knowledge of what and when inspections are to be made. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities Perform inspections and complete appropriate inspection forms. Inspect the following: Earthwork and backfill; Concrete and/or grout placement; Receiving inspections; Underground and above ground component placement; M&TE calibration and usage; Welding consumables control; Weld inspections and welder qualifications; Weld tracking and mapping, including any “Red line/As Built” drawings. Coordinate with client QA, testing or hold points. Coordinate with subcontracted NDE and specialty testing personnel for future tests required. Involve with and/or coordinate testing to assure compliance. Prepare final documentation for turnover package(s). When multiple inspectors are needed, a Lead will be appointed to assist with tracking, coordinate testing and organize the documents given by the other inspectors.
