Quality Inspector

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6a-6p

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured components and assemblies.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with customer requirements, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and gauges.
Inspect parts using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Romer Arms, and Optical Comparators.
Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
Identify, report, and assist in the disposition of non-conforming material.
Communicate quality concerns to the QA Manager, Production Supervisors, and Manufacturing teams.
Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
Work closely with Scheduling and Planning departments to help expedite production orders and prioritize inspections.
Ensure compliance with ISO, customer, and internal quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
Experience using CMM, Romer Arm, Optical Comparator, and precision measuring equipment.
Strong understanding of machining, welding, forming, and assembly processes.
Proficient in inspection documentation and quality reporting.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with multiple departments.

Preferred Experience:

ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environment.
First Article Inspection (FAI) experience.
Knowledge of SPC and quality control methodologies.
