Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured components and assemblies.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with customer requirements, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and gauges.
- Inspect parts using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Romer Arms, and Optical Comparators.
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Identify, report, and assist in the disposition of non-conforming material.
- Communicate quality concerns to the QA Manager, Production Supervisors, and Manufacturing teams.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
- Work closely with Scheduling and Planning departments to help expedite production orders and prioritize inspections.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, customer, and internal quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area.
- Minimum 2+ years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience using CMM, Romer Arm, Optical Comparator, and precision measuring equipment.
- Strong understanding of machining, welding, forming, and assembly processes.
- Proficient in inspection documentation and quality reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with multiple departments.
- ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environment.
- First Article Inspection (FAI) experience.
- Knowledge of SPC and quality control methodologies.
