Your future role at a glance Location: Carmel, IN Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center Hospital Department: Respiratory Care Schedule: Nights | Full-time | 6 p.m - 6:30 a.m. How you'll make an impact in this role Formulate, execute, and evaluate individualized respiratory care protocols. Manage and oversee the application of advanced respiratory modalities and specialized equipment. Document, record, and communicate patient status, assessing treatment efficacy relative to established outcomes. Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding conditions and facilitate referrals to external community resources. Participate in the emergency resuscitation team and respond to critical code notifications. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
