Position Summary As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations. Responsibilities Collaborate with team members to fulfil sales and service requests, educating other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentoring new technicians. Communicate and develop interpersonal skills to provide safe and efficient customer service. Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications and seasonality. Apply expertise in Point of Sale systems and phone and in‑person selling techniques. Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, and training. Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to the Tire & Battery Center Lead. Track and monitor returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain accurate inventory. Audit safety and compliance standards, report complaints, hazards, and problems, and complete required paperwork and logs. Act as a brand ambassador by valuing the member experience, modeling high‑quality service and products, and inspiring others for respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented work. Understand roadblocks and assist in training team members. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Implement related action plans using the Open Door Policy. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources. Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations, communicate progress, and recommend improvements. The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Minimum Qualifications Valid State‑issued Driver’s License. Must be 18 years of age or older.
