Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Senior Maintenance Technician is a key technical leader responsible for ensuring maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency of production equipment within a food manufacturing environment. This role provides advanced troubleshooting expertise, supports preventive maintenance and reliability improvements, and mentors other maintenance team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency of production equipment.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Lead root-cause analysis on recurring equipment issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Maintain food processing and packaging equipment in compliance with GMP, OSHA, and food safety standards.
• Develop, improve, and execute preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation within CMMS systems.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• 3+ years experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• 2+ years GMP experience.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual is a plus.

Work Environment

Work hours are first shift, varying start time (6-7am) from Monday to Friday. The environment requires compliance with GMP standards, including wearing hair nets, beard nets, smocks, steel toes, and safety glasses. Exposure to hot ovens and cold coolers (30-35 degrees) is expected, along with the ability to work around allergens such as nuts and dairy. Physical requirements include the ability to push/pull up to 75lbs.

This is a Permanent position based out of West Allis, WI.

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
