Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro/Stroke Experience Required

Location: Titusville, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required.

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) with neuro and stroke experience. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment and manage complex medical situations efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Stabilize and prepare patients with neurological and stroke conditions for further treatment.
• Perform regular assessments, including monitoring vital signs and conducting patient triage.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for integrated patient management.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including IV and emergency medications.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Meditech charting system.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2.5 years of Emergency Department experience.
• 1 year of neuro/stroke experience preferred.
• ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• Must hold a valid RN license in Florida or a compact RN license.
• Experience managing level 1 resuscitation patients.
