Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance MechanicGeorgia Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for their Janesville, WI manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform various functions within the Maintenance Department while meeting the safety, quality, efficiency, and scrap goals of the company. You'll troubleshoot, diagnose and repair industrial manufacturing equipment to limit downtime and maximize productivity. The person in this role will be a key contributor to the plant's success.Shifts Available:2nd shift 2pm to 10pm Monday – Friday3rd shift 10pm to 6am Monday – FridayWeekend Shift: Friday - Sunday 5am to 5pm OR 5pm to 5am (additional hours will be available during the week to make sure you're at least getting 40 hours weekly)Pay: Compensation will start at $32 to $36 hourly.Note: There is a $5 hourly shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shiftOur TeamGeorgia-Pacific is a dynamic manufacturing company based in Janesville, WI. We offer a collaborative work environment where employees are empowered to create value, solve problems, and contribute to the long-term success of the business.What You Will DoAchieve required lift certifications and operate scissor lifts and forkliftsAchieve lockout/tagout certificationSetup and operate equipment and/or tools needed to perform preventive maintenance tasks and corrective repairsPerform preventive maintenance and keep record of activities on production equipment, production support equipment, building and groundsAssist in troubleshooting issues with and repairs to production equipment, production support equipment, building and groundsKeep record of corrective repairs to production equipment, production support equipment, building and groundsConduct routine inspection of premises and equipmentPerform general housekeeping duties and maintain a safe work area.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and electrical repairExperience reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematic diagrams.Experience utilizing math skills in an industrial roleWhat Will Put You AheadExperience working with a CMMS systemPost-secondary education and/or technical trade certificateExperience with Infor EAMPLC experienceTIG, Stick and Wire-Feed welding experiencePrevious experience in a clean manufacturing environmentExperience leading, training and mentoring other Maintenance Technicians
