Responsibilities: Perform surgical procedures with precision and care, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Lead pre-operative and post-operative consultations, providing clear, empathetic communication to patients and their families. Stay abreast of the latest surgical techniques and technologies, integrating them into practice to enhance patient outcomes. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss case studies, share insights, and contribute to the collective knowledge of the team. Ensure meticulous documentation of all surgical procedures and patient interactions, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Qualifications: Must have valid and current Texas Medical Board issued Surgical Assistant License or valid and current Certification from a recognized accrediting body such as the American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA) or the National Surgical Assistant Association (NSAA) is required Active Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in Orthopedic surgical assisting in a hospital or an outpatient surgical center Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proficient medical terminology with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency in various surgical procedures such as Total Knee Arthroplasty/Replacement -Mako Robot, Distal Radius ORIF, Radial Shaft ORIF, and Total Hip Arthroplasty. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills Foreign MDs must pass TOEFL Test Solid communication and customer service skills Ability use a computer to complete administrative tasks Must have completed an accredited medical assisting program and a supervised externship in a healthcare setting High school diploma or GED About Company: Avant First Assistants LLC, established in 2012, has been delivering exceptional surgical support to surgeons, hospitals, and surgery centers.
