About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic leadership in financial planning, analysis, and management. The CFO will be the key adviser to the President and will work closely with senior leaders and the Board of Trustees to manage the financial affairs of the institution. This role is pivotal in aligning financial and physical resources with the company's strategy and plans, and the CFO will be responsible for budgeting, financial planning, and leading the development of multi-year financial and physical plant plans. Cost control, risk management, and improving the efficiency of business operations are also key components of the CFO's responsibilities. The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company must hold a Master's degree, be committed to the institution's mission and values, and have a proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, and managing diverse business functions. Strong negotiation and communication skills, experience in leading diverse teams, and a background in improving efficiency through technology are essential. The CFO should also have experience in managing security and facilities and be adept at navigating the governance and business opportunities of a higher education institution of similar size and complexity. Resilience in the face of stress, complexity, and institutional challenges is a critical attribute for the role.
