Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager in Grand Rapids, MI (Onsite).Summary:A well-established and growing organization in the greater Grand Rapids area is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead key accounting operations and support ongoing process improvements within the finance team. This is a highly visible role with opportunity to mentor staff, influence process improvements, and build toward future leadership responsibilities within the organization.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Supervise and develop a small team across AP and accounting functions
• Support audit and tax processes, partnering with external advisors
• Oversee treasury-related activities, including payment workflows
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies across accounting operations

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA a plus)
• Experience in a mid-to-large company environment with an ERP system
• Prior leadership or management experience
• Background in accounting operations, financial reporting, and close processes
• Manufacturing or similar industry experience preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
