Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 Hour schedule, 19:00 - 07:30. Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients within the Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit. The RN will perform a wide range of tasks including medication administration, monitoring patient vital signs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients pre and post-operatively.
• Administer medications and manage patient IVs and other medical devices.
• Perform bedside procedures including dialysis catheter management and thoracentesis.
• Monitor patients' conditions, interpreting dysrhythmias and adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Active RN license in Tennessee.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience.
• Experience with bedside procedures preferred.
