Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department of a critical access hospital within a rural community. This role involves responding to urgent patient needs during overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions in the emergency setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing lifesaving interventions when needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on post-visit care and health management.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state registered nurse license.
• Demonstrate recent experience in emergency or critical care nursing.
• Possess CPR and ACLS certification.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Maintain excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Be flexible to work 7p to 7a night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
