The Maintenance Technician ensures the smooth and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and systems by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and maintaining high production efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and chemical-related issues and implement timely and effective repairs to minimize production interruptions.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment failures, wear, or safety concerns, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, including service logs, work orders, and parts usage documentation.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to schedule maintenance activities in a way that minimizes disruption to operations and meets production goals.
• Install, test, and calibrate new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper setup, functionality, and integration into existing systems.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, standards, and company policies while performing maintenance tasks and operating equipment.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, and assist in identifying needs for replenishment or upgrades.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements, equipment upgrades, and maintenance best practices.
• Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and PLC systems to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
• Work flexible hours, including 2nd shift and occasional nights or weekends, to support production and respond to urgent maintenance needs.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including moving parts, bearings, conveyors, and production machinery.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, including motors, wiring, controls, and basic troubleshooting of electrical faults.
• Experience working with pneumatic systems, including air lines, valves, and actuators.
• Experience working with hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, and fluid power controls.
• Ability to work with chemical-related processes or equipment in an industrial setting while following safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance and repair work.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment used to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Experience working with PLC systems for troubleshooting and basic adjustments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with production and maintenance teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts, including 2nd shift, nights, and weekends as needed.

• Technical certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or a related field is a strong plus.
• An associate degree in a technical discipline, such as engineering technology, industrial maintenance, or a related area, is highly preferred.
• Interest in continuous learning and professional development, including potential advancement into engineering or leadership roles.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities and production demands.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clean, non–climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will work around industrial equipment, machinery, and production lines, using a variety of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and PLC systems. The role may require working 2nd shift and occasionally nights or weekends to support production schedules and urgent maintenance needs. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with expectations for appropriate industrial work attire suitable for a manufacturing setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Calhoun, GA.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $64000.00/yr.

6% 401K Match, 8 holidays available after 90, medical/ dental and vision available after 30 days, production quarterly bonuses available

This is a fully onsite position in Calhoun,GA.
