We are looking for a personable, motivated, and customer-focused  Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to join our dealership team.

This position focuses on identifying opportunities to purchase vehicles directly from customers visiting our Service Department. Using AI-powered vehicle scanning and valuation technology, you will engage customers, help them understand the value of their current vehicle, and explore whether selling or trading into a newer model makes sense for them.

 

This is not a traditional high-pressure sales role. Success comes from building rapport, asking the right questions, listening to the customer, and creating a comfortable, consultative experience. The ideal candidate is confident face-to-face, comfortable with technology, organized with follow-up, and motivated by performance-based compensation.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Engage Service Department customers in natural, friendly conversations about their current vehicle.
• Identify customers interested in selling their vehicle or trading into a newer model.
• Utilize AI-powered vehicle scanning, appraisal, and acquisition technology to identify opportunities.
• Explain vehicle values and acquisition options clearly and professionally.
• Use a consultative approach focused on understanding each customer's needs.
• Work closely with dealership management and the sales team when customers are interested in upgrading.
• Acquire quality pre-owned inventory directly from dealership customers.
• Follow up with customers by phone, email, and text when you were unable to connect during their service visit.
• Maintain consistent follow-up until an opportunity is completed or the customer is no longer interested.
• Accurately document customer interactions and activity within dealership systems.
• Meet established vehicle acquisition and activity goals.

 

What Success Looks Like

Success is measured primarily by the number of vehicles successfully acquired for the dealership.

 

A successful Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will consistently build relationships, create acquisition and trade opportunities, maintain strong follow-up, and provide an excellent customer experience while using technology and customer data to identify the best opportunities.

Automotive sales, customer service, BDC, service advising, vehicle appraisal, or dealership experience is beneficial but not required. We are willing to train the right person with strong communication skills and the right attitude.

 

Compensation

This is a performance-driven position with compensation tied directly to  vehicle acquisitions . The more vehicles you successfully purchase for the dealership, the greater your earning opportunity.

 

Specific compensation and incentives will be discussed during the interview process.
