Volunteers needed to provide homeless with social services.
University Community Social Services
Our Manhattan based organization is seeking a cohort of approximately 12 volunteers who would work with our homeless population on a scheduled rotating basis in teams of two or three workers weekly to assist us with intakes, assessments and referrals. Our hours of operation are every Saturday from 8 AM to 3:00PM and we are located at 137 East Second Street, (at Avenue A in Manhattan) at the Cardinal Spellman Center (lower level). 2nd Avenue stop on the F train. Our space is equipped with wireless Internet, computers and printers and a full supply of stationary for volunteers to assist our guests. All volunteers would have a tremendous amount of staff support.
