Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant

Location: 3308 E Main St, Alice, TX 78332, USA - Cross Streets: Main Street and Matt Murphy Rd. Status: Full Time Schedule: 12-hour shifts Mon - Sat with shorter 8-hour shifts on Sun; clinic hours are 8:00 AM 8:00 PM Mon - Sat and 8:00 AM - 4:00PM Sun, every other weekend and occasional holidays are required Compensation: Very competitive hourly rate + monthly productivity bonus Benefits: Full-benefits package available Sign On Bonus: $5000.00 Position Summary We are seeking a Full Time clinician to join our team in Alice, TX . This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast paced, well supported urgent care environment. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable) Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR Code and bill services appropriately Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Texas license NCCPA Certification Active DEA license Ability to treat patients of all ages Active BLS certification EHR proficiency Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training and fees covered by NextCare) Preferred Qualifications Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast track experience Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care) Experience with initial x ray interpretation prior to radiology over read About NextCare NextCare is one of the nation's largest urgent care providers, serving communities with accessible, affordable, high quality care across 160+ locations in 11 states.
