Electrical Project Engineer | MEP Consulting Engineering
A growing MEP consulting engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, academic, and building projects.
This role is ideal for an engineer ready to expand project ownership or an experienced engineer seeking greater technical, project, and client-facing responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Design power distribution, lighting/controls, and fire alarm systems
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and develop single-line diagrams
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and technical reports
- Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other disciplines
- Participate in client/project meetings
- Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
- Assist with project scheduling, coordination, and technical execution
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IBC, and applicable codes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of electrical MEP/building design experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- EIT or PE preferred; PE candidates encouraged
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills
