Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Oracle PL/SQL Developer | Location: Providence, RI | Contract | Hourly Pay Range: $35-$46

An experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer role focused on designing, implementing, and supporting database systems within a dynamic environment. This position involves working closely with senior leads and business teams to deliver high-quality database solutions and reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop complex SQL queries and create PL/SQL objects, including DML and DDL statements.
• Optimize database and SQL performance through tuning techniques.
• Query and manipulate large data sets efficiently using SQL.
• Solve complex technical problems creatively and proactively identify potential issues in software designs.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Design, develop, maintain, and support database-driven reporting solutions.
• Debug and troubleshoot logical and functional coding errors.
• Engage in data modeling and utilize data visualization tools (preferred Tableau/Power BI).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, or Computer Science.
• 8-10 years of experience with Oracle databases, including writing complex SQL queries and developing PL/SQL objects.
• Proficiency in data modeling and data visualization tools (preferred Tableau/Power BI).
• Strong understanding of database management systems and SQL performance tuning.
• Experience with debugging complex DML and SQL code.
• Familiarity with code repositories such as Git.
• Knowledge of relational database design, security (role-based), and query tools like SQL Developer, TOAD, or SQL Navigator.
• Experience with data validation, quality assurance, and referential integrity.
• Working knowledge of ETL practices (preferred Informatica, Pentaho).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and continuous integration tools (preferably Jenkins).
• Knowledge of UML for system documentation.
• Five years of experience in the healthcare or integrated eligibility domain, including developing reports for federal agencies (SNAP/TANF/Medicaid).

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle certifications.
• Familiarity with XML, JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS, NodeJS, React).
• Experience with enterprise workflow management tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
