Project Engineer

We are seeking a capable and motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of engineering projects from initial planning through to completion. This role will involve coordinating technical activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with engineering, operations, procurement, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain effective project delivery.


Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing technical documentation, project schedules, estimates, specifications, risk assessments, and progress reports. You will coordinate design reviews, manage technical queries, monitor costs and resources, and help ensure that project changes are properly assessed and controlled. The role will also involve supporting procurement and contractor management, attending site meetings, tracking milestones, and identifying potential delays or risks before they affect delivery. You will contribute to commissioning, testing, handover, and the preparation of final project records, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, engineering standards, and health and safety requirements.


Applicants should have a degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, together with experience supporting or delivering engineering projects. Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret technical information and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with project planning tools, document control systems, risk management, and budget monitoring would be advantageous. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a collaborative environment. A professional engineering qualification or relevant industry certification is desirable, along with a willingness to travel to project or operational sites when required.
