Merchandise Planner 2

Business Planner Nike is seeking a Business Planner to support North America Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC) planning activities. This role partners closely with Merchandise Planning, Buying, Finance, and Direct Consumer teams to drive inventory optimization, sales forecasting, profitability, and in-season business performance. This is a 3-month parental leave coverage assignment with the potential to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced ecommerce environment. Responsibilities: Support demand planning processes and planning administration activities. Manage foundational planning work and ensure key deliverables are completed on schedule. Analyze business performance and operational changes to align inventory and sales plans. Drive weekly and monthly planning activities to support business objectives. Conduct productivity analysis and assist with seasonal target setting. Support Open to Buy planning through KPI analysis and trend forecasting. Develop inventory management recommendations including markdowns, promotions, closeouts, and chase opportunities. Create reports, perform business analysis, and provide in-season action recommendations. Partner with cross-functional teams including Buying, Merchandise Planning, Finance, and Direct Consumer teams. Help optimize omnichannel and digital commerce business strategies. Influence forecasting decisions through data analysis and scenario planning. Required Skills: 3+ years of experience in Business Planning, Merchandise Planning, Assortment Planning, Demand Planning, or related field Strong understanding of planning processes and planning operations Experience managing planning deliverables and administrative planning functions Business analysis and forecasting experience Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills Strong data storytelling and presentation abilities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Preferred Skills: Digital merchandise planning experience Ecommerce forecasting experience In-season business management experience Nike or retail industry experience Experience with inventory optimization and Open to Buy planning Promotional planning and markdown strategy experience Omni-channel retail planning experience Benefits (employee contribution): Health insurance, Health savings account, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Flexible spending accounts, Life insurance, Retirement plan.
