Learn more at and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Sr Technician to join our security business unit.Primary Responsibilities:Install headend equipment, all field devices and basic programming for a variety of Door Access and Security. Layout the system and install the cable as well as testing connectors, labeling and firestop. Assure that the equipment provides the service requested by the customer, ensuring the documentation and databases are updatedCoordinate and oversees contracted work with the contractor, providing specific instructions and or help on projects, inspecting completed work for acceptance and compliance with Pavion standards, and ensuring that the network documentation is updatedAnalyze and layout blueprints, schematics, and drawings of Pavion systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.Train and mentor team members on fire alarm systems and safety proceduresProvide technical expertise for installation, repair, and serviceInform Project Manager regarding procedures and or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and or complying with company policies and building codesCoordinate and supervise the work of the Installers. Ensures that projects are completed within local, state, federal codes, regulations, and specifications.Participates in approved job-related training and development programs. Participates in equipment training and receives certification, and operates equipment as neededMaintains assigned vehicles and equipment in excellent condition. Ensures availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and or repairEnsure safety procedures are always followedUpdates & maintains documentation (Time Web, daily worksheets & all other paperwork)Establishes effective working relationships with those contacted during work, and communicate clearly, and effectively both orally and in writingManages multiple priorities and deadlines and works effectively with minimum supervisionEnsure quality control for assigned taskClean up work area dailyBasic Qualifications:High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience or training on manufacturer systems installations; or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of hand tools, test/set up equipment and company machinery. Demonstrate ability to train others in useKnowledge of electrical circuitry, network principles, NEC.
