Job Summary:
Orthopedics and Trauma Nurse Practitioner in Iowa City, Iowa. This position involves providing specialized care on a surgical unit focused on orthopedics, trauma, and spine patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Iowa City, Iowa
- Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and IA/Compact license; must have level 1 trauma experience
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Float: Float rotation may not be required
- Additional Information: The unit is a 48-bed adult surgical unit specializing in orthopedics, trauma, and spine care. The role entails caring for patients with traumas or orthopedic injuries such as fractures, reconstructive joint surgeries, spine surgeries, amputations, and sports injuries. The staff focuses on patient-centered care, combining clinical skills with compassionate support to optimize patient quality of life.
