Role Description The Nurse Practitioner role at Olympia Pediatrics is a full-time, on-site position located in Olympia, WA. The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care, including well-child visits, acute and chronic illness management, and developmental and behavioral assessments. Daily responsibilities include performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications within scope, and developing care plans in collaboration with physicians and other team members. The role involves educating patients and caregivers on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment options, as well as documenting encounters accurately in the medical record. The Nurse Practitioner will also support care coordination, participate in practice meetings, and contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives within the clinic. Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Washington State and national board certification in pediatrics or family practice (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date). Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP) and completion of relevant clinical training in pediatric or primary care settings. Demonstrated skills in pediatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care across a range of common childhood conditions. Strong clinical documentation abilities and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems; ability to maintain accurate, timely medical records. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain medical information clearly to children and caregivers and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to patient-centered, culturally sensitive care and adherence to evidence-based guidelines, infection control, and safety protocols. Ability to manage a consistent patient caseload, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced pediatric clinic environment. Basic life support (BLS) Previous experience in pediatrics or primary care is preferred; new graduates with strong pediatric training and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
