Locations: Worcester, MA Additional Locations: N/A Work Site: On Site Req ID: 226807 Position Overview Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, offers a key opportunity in the field of Utility Line Clearance as a Foreman / Foreperson. Job Duties Provide crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers. Prune treetops, repair damaged trees by trimming or removal, and remove broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other structures. Direct crew members and equipment, planning and executing the assigned work and tasks. Supervise and assist in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Operate as part of a crew with supporting Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber. Perform all above-mentioned functions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license preferred but not required. Certificates and licenses if necessary. Pesticide license, if required by state law. Herbicide license a plus. Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines. ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain. Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience preferred. Benefits Paid time off and paid holidays. Prevailing wage available, with a base wage starting at $31/hr (based on experience).
