Parts Delivery Driver

Job Overview Summary/Objective The Parts Delivery Driver provides wholesale customers with a positive service experience by delivering parts to their place of business Essential Functions Greets customers in a friendly and professional manner May retrieve (pull) purchased parts from inventory or if the requested parts are not in inventory, notifies parts department counter/warehouse representative. Uses good judgment and safe driving skills.at all times Keeps a timely delivery route and advises employer of time of departure and arrival Operates radio or similar device to communicate with dealership or other vehicles to report disruption of service. Keeps a record of trips Notifies dispatcher or service manager of any servicing the delivery vehicle may require, such as oil changes, tires, cleaning, and general maintenance Performs general cleanup of assigned vehicles, included but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, wiping and rinsing Keeps assigned vehicles neat and organized Fills vehicle with fuel Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection Establishes and maintains good working relationships with wholesale customers Understands and follows work rules and procedures Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards including recording time of arrival, departure and all breaks. Follows lawful directions from supervisors Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements Works evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required Completes all documents, forms and reports in accordance with company policy Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect parts operations including but not limited to hazardous waste disposal, emergency response and OSHA Right-to-Know Uses proper safety equipment and acts in accordance with company policies, local, state and federal regulations Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases Ensures that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards Follows the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct Understands and follows all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements Attends company meetings as required Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area in accordance with company policy Other duties as assigned Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent; three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent; six months or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
