Hospitalist Physician

Maryland hospital is seeking a full-time nocturnist to cover 7-on/7-off night shifts starting December 30, 2025 and ongoing in the Eastern Shore Region.

Key Details:

  • Shift: 7p 7a (occasional 3p 3a as needed)
  • Responsibilities: Floor coverage, admissions, and code response (closed ICU; no procedures required)
  • Team Coverage: 2 providers on floors, 1 dedicated to ED
  • EMR: Epic
  • Facility: 283-bed, Trauma Level 3, stroke-certified
  • Provider Requirements: MD licensed in Maryland, board certified in specialty, ACLS/BLS
  • Locum Type: Scheduled clinical hours only; temporary privileges available
  • Support Staff: 1 2 PAs/NPs; variable RN support
  • Travel: Nearest airport SBY; lodging recommended at Hampton Inn

Additional Info:

  • Coverage is ongoing with holidays allowed
  • Credentialing typically takes 30-60 days
