Our specialty, Xiao Long Bao —meaning "little dumpling in a basket"—dates back over 1,000 years to China's Song Dynasty. We take pride in bringing the rich heritage of Taiwanese cuisine, ensuring every bite tells a story of tradition, passion, and culinary excellence.In this position, the bartender will be handling all aspects of bartending and ensuring that each customer has a positive experience when visiting our restaurant.Job DutiesProvides a pleasant drinking experience to customers.Serves drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area.Attends to the detail and presentation of each order.Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes.Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.Coordinates daily supply inventory for bar and submits orders to supervisor; assists with receipt of deliveries.Contributes to daily, holiday, and theme drink menus in collaboration with supervisor.Ensures smooth operation of bar services during absence of supervisor.Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing as needed.Assists with orienting new employees to their work area.Listens to customer complaints and suggestions and resolves complaints.Instructs personnel in use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provides efficient and effective methods of maintaining work area.Participates in and/or contributes to programs, committees, or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.Experience QualificationsDemonstrated knowledge of and skill in ability to operate standard beverage service equipment safely and effectivelyAdaptabilityDecision-makingCustomer serviceOral communicationPlanning, problem solving, and teamworkDeveloping budgetsSelf-motivatedHigh energy levelMulti-taskingAbility to interact with both internal and external stakeholdersSpecific finance and/or accounting knowledge would be beneficialExperienced with handling multiple entities and intercompany transactionsIntermediate knowledge of ExcelFamiliar with inventory management system, ideally within the F&B industryEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED2 years of bar or restaurant experience to include drink preparation is preferredCurrent beverage service certification or other certification as required by federal/state/local lawFamiliar with point-of-sale computers and softwareComfortable using a computer, navigating Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook EmailWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly wage + tipsFree or discounted shift mealsPaid time offOpportunity to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance plans (eligibility requirements apply)Training and development supportWe are an equal opportunity employer to all employees and applicants.
