Apply today.as a **Cancer Quality Program Coordinator,** you will serve as the primary administrative and operational resource for our Quality program. In this pivotal role, you will prepare agendas, attend meetings, and document minutes for three primary Quality Committees while managing protected safety event data on a weekly basis to identify trends and patterns. Key responsibilities include compiling and distributing data for Morbidity & Mortality conferences to physician leads, supporting Commission on Cancer accreditation oversight, and preparing monthly performance scorecards for Radiation Oncology providers. You will also serve as contingency support for tumor board operations, manage department leadership calendars, coordinate meeting schedules with administrative assistants, and conduct non-clinical audits as needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive healthcare information with professionalism and discretion. We currently have more than 1,000 physicians and more than 3,500 total employees in our group and are seeking others to enhance our ability to deliver our nonprofit mission of providing excellent patient care.POSITION SUMMARYThis position provides expertise for a variety of business support functions and monitoring of quality and patient safety initiatives for the Cancer Program. Collaborates with system leadership, including executives and director level team members to monitor quality and patient safety indicators throughout the Cancer Program. This role requires strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to achieve desired results across the program.CORE FUNCTIONS1. Serves as a working member of the Quality Management Committee, Quality Council and other pertinent meetings to ensure agenda preparation and documentation of meeting minutes. Independently follows up on questions or concerns discussed in these meetings and reviews findings with meeting participants.2. Identifies new quality and patient safety opportunities based on data and analysis of current performance.3. Prepares data collection tools and collects appropriate data for each project or indicator. Monitors and audits data to ensure statistical reliability and validity.4. Collects, monitors, and analyzes patient safety data. Uses personal judgement to alert leadership to trends and safety events that require immediate risk assessment.5. Creates project plans using a Quality Improvement Project Charter, assigns tasks and resources, tracks progress, and identifies barriers with escalation as needed.6. Provides necessary staff education related to identified knowledge deficits that impact the quality and safety of patient care delivery.7. Performs administrative duties to support the Director of Quality and Patient Safety including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings and booking conference rooms.8. Completes special projects or assignments as needed.9. Creates and maintains Tumor Board conference agendas and distributes to the appropriate staff and departments. Monitors and records attendance at Tumor Board conferences and supports reports for clinical staff to receive continuing education credits. Documents Tumor Board discussions as required by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC).MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequires knowledge as typically obtained through an associate degree in science or education or equivalent relevant experience.Requires experience in a program coordinator or administrative assistant type role typically attained within 2 years.Requires strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Applications.Requires demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and written communication skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Additional related education and/or experience preferred.**EEO Statement:**EEO/Disabled/Veterans
