Part-Time Assistant Manager

Role Summary: Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are being followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross‑trained in all departments to support where needed, and to provide inspirational training to all Employees. The Assistant Manager can become a Senior Assistant Manager, followed by Theatre Manager or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager. Support the General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff. Work in all departments and perform all theatre job functions. Train and coach team members in their specific job functions. Assist in preparing administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment condition. Report required building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager. Ensure that theatre team members follow the dress code. Interact with guests to improve service and ensure team members provide superior customer service. Learn and follow the policies and procedures as established in Cinemark’s Guidelines; enforce them fairly and consistently with all team members. Report employee relations issues to the General Manager (or to in the absence of the GM); all management members must follow the employee relations reporting protocol. Maintain a high work ethic standard and code of conduct. Consistently identify and sanitize employee and guest high‑contact areas. Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position‑specific tasks. Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Properly address any safety or security issues such as trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements Must be at least18years old. HighSchool or G.E.D. graduate preferred. Completion of three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program. Complete basic food handling training and obtain any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required. Management members who work with alcohol must complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requires regular and consistent attendance. Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift. Provide excellent guest service. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Interpersonal skills: communicate verbally and in writing with all ages, genders, and personalities; converse in English and comprehend. Ability to work in a team environment and independently. Ability to take and follow direction. Respond with a sense of urgency. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to train and lead others. Resolve conflict. Physical & Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50lbs.; frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre; noise level may be moderate to high at times; ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
