Position: Legal Assistant Location: Kahului, HI Pay: $25/hour Experience: 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant. Education: High School Diploma. Type: Full-time; Contract Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Employers Options is seeking a Legal Assistant to join a growing and dynamic team! Job Description Perform general administrative duties, including copying, scanning, faxing, filing, and organizing documents. Manage calendars and schedules for attorneys and paralegals, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and court-related deadlines while preventing scheduling conflicts. Answer and screen incoming phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate team member. Run office errands as needed (e.g. Post Office, Second Circuit Court, and Maui Police Department). Conduct initial intake calls with prospective clients and gather relevant case information. Requesting and organizing medical records and other case-related documents. Conducting client follow-up calls and periodic case status check-ins. Scheduling client meetings, depositions, mediations, and other appointments as directed. Welcome and assist clients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner. Maintain professional communication with clients, courts, medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties via telephone, email, and mail. Anticipate the needs of attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional client service. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the office through light housekeeping duties. Assist with miscellaneous office projects and administrative tasks as assigned. Perform occasional personal assistant duties for attorneys as needed. Position Requirements Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and Adobe Acrobat Pro (i.e. Editing, Consolidation of documents, Redaction, Bate Numbering, etc.). Attention to detail. Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for other.
