Summary: Responsible for the safe operation of powered industrial equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. Ensures all inbound and outbound products are accurately processed, free of damage or infestation, and properly documented according to customer specifications and company standards. Primary Duties: Operate forklift, clamp truck, and other powered equipment for approximately 80% of the shift to load, unload, move, stage, and stock products and materials Pick and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring correct quantities and product types are loaded Verify accuracy of shipments, including load counts, stability, and product condition; report discrepancies or damages as needed Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required documentation and reports Comply with OSHA regulations, MSDS guidelines, and all company safety procedures Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs Change forklift batteries or LP tanks and monitor equipment power sources as required Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment Assist with cycle counts and full physical inventory processes Perform additional duties as assigned by management or customer requirements Key Relationships: Peers: Collaborate to complete warehouse operations accurately and efficiently Group Coordinator/Lead: Receive work assignments, training, and performance guidance Management: Follow company policies, procedures, and operational direction Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Forklift certification or completion of forklift training required within 30 days of hire Experience: 6 months warehouse experience preferred 6 months forklift operation experience preferred Skills and Abilities: Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment for extended periods (up to 80% of shift) Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Strong attention to detail and safety compliance Effective communication skills Ability to work assigned shifts and adapt to operational needs Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus Working Conditions: Majority indoor work (approximately 90% indoors, 10% outdoors) Exposure to warehouse conditions including wet/humid environments, moving machinery, and chemical handling Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, and operating equipment for most of the shift Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 100 lbs as needed Must comply with OSHA safety standards and MSDS guidelines
