Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse - Austin, Texas. This role involves providing direct nursing care in a high-acuity emergency department within a level IV trauma setting. The position requires the ability to work rotating weekends and deliver patient-centered care across a diverse population, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days shift, 8 hours shift time, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and a diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
• Preferred Qualifications: None listed
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Provides critical nursing services in a 25-bed emergency department with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. The patient population includes neonates through geriatrics, requiring comprehensive emergency care skills. Implements and monitors patient care plans, assesses discharge planning needs, and follows Standard Precautions with Personal Protective Equipment. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in stressful environments are essential.
