In this dynamic role, you'll independently diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of commercial HVAC systems, from large chillers and boilers to various air conditioning units. You'll expertly manage field reports, operate equipment, and provide excellent customer service while promoting Carrier products.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently diagnoses and repairs various HVAC equipment and components. This includes, but is not limited to the following:Air-cooled and water-cooled systems up to 1000 tons and hot water boilers up to 200 hp.Hydronics and piping systemsVarious sizes of air conditioners, pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, spot coolers, gas heaters, controls, and electrical componentsMaintain accurate field service reports, including refrigerant tracking and timekeeping logsRegular use of power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment to service and repair rental systems as neededOperate equipment vehicles, including forkliftsLoad and unload trucksCommunicate professionally with coworkers, subcontractors, and customersPerform other duties to support the business as needed, including inventory count, general maintenance, cleaning and organizingProvides sales leads to office personnelPromotes Carrier products and services to customersAssist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking of workAdherence to EHS protocol at all timesStart-ups and teardownsRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMust possess a Type 4 - EPA Universal Certification1+ Plus years of hands-on experience with air-cooled and water-cooled systems, hot water boilers, hydronics, piping, pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, and gas heaters3+ years of Commercial HVAC experienceMust be able to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 poundsValid Driver's LicenseAbility to obtain and maintain Forklift CertificationAbility to travel up to 50% of the time and work overtimeMinimum of 1 year of experience using Windows operating systems, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, and other web browsersPreferred QualificationsAssociate's degree in HVAC, Mechanical Technology, or related field, or completion of a recognized HVAC technical certification programPrior experience in HVAC equipment rentals, including setup, operation, and maintenanceProven expertise in creating, mapping, and updating project applicationsStrong troubleshooting skills with large-scale commercial HVAC systems and controlsFamiliarity with building automation systems (BAS) and energy efficiency, best practicesExperience with HVAC system start-ups, teardowns, and project executionAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectivelyBenefitsEmployees are eligible for benefits, including:Health Care benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision; wellness incentivesRetirement benefitsTime Off and Leave: Paid vacation days, up to 15 days; paid sick days, up to 5 days; paid personal leave, up to 5 days; paid holidays, up to 13 days; birth and adoption leave; parental leave; family and medical leave; bereavement leave; jury duty; military leave; purchased vacationDisability: Short-term and long-term disabilityLife Insurance and Accidental Death and DismembermentTax-Advantaged Accounts: Health Savings Account; Healthcare Spending Account; Dependent Care Spending AccountTuition AssistanceTo learn more about our benefits offering, please click here: Work With Us | Carrier Corporate The specific benefits available to any employee may vary depending on state and local laws and eligibility factors, such as date of hire and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.Pay Range:The hourly rate for this position is between $24.00 - $48.00 per hour.
