Responsibilities:

• Process outbound mail on the postage machine
• Process outbound packages
• Sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages
• Data entry input of daily numbers
• Check and respond to email in a timely manner
• Operation of manual pallet jacks and flatbed carts
• Use of a PDA/scanner for accountable package receiving and delivery
• Float from building to building on campus as needed

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in a mail room or experience at FedEx and/or UPS.
• Proficiency in MS-Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential and highly sensitive material.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic understanding of operating instructions and processes for machines.
• Basic understanding of or the ability to learn locations and organizational structure of the company.
• Basic understanding of postage rates and regulations.
• Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of mail.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Basic computer skills etc: data entry, micro soft office and INTERNET.
