This outpatient cancer center is established within a large hospital system in Salina, Kansas, providing specialized hematology and oncology services to the regional patient population. The facility maintains a clinical support team that includes physicians and advanced practice providers to facilitate coordinated patient care delivery. Clinical operations are structured to support quality hematologic and oncologic care throughout the assignment period.

Salina, Kansas is a centrally located city of just under 50,000 residents, offering a blend of urban amenities and small-town character along I-70. Clinicians on assignment may explore a range of local attractions, including a downtown sculpture tour, a 65-acre zoo with over 110 wildlife species, a water park featuring 1,400 feet of slides, and the Smoky Hill Museum, recognized as Kansas‘ oldest nationally accredited hands-on history museum. The area also provides dining, shopping, and cultural experiences, making it a well-rounded destination in central Kansas.

Clinicians will provide outpatient hematology and oncology coverage on-site in Salina, Kansas, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, managing 10-15 patients per day. Call coverage is required on a 1:4 rotation, with one weekend per month of call responsibility. Clinical responsibilities include the evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic conditions in an adult outpatient population, with the possibility of performing bone marrow biopsies.
