Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures for a Cath Lab role requiring 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience and CRT/fluoroscopy certification.

Details

• Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
• Variable shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
• On-call required 6-7 days per month, including one weekend per month

Requirements

• Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in state of practice required
• CRT and Fluoroscopy certification required
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• ARRT certification preferred
• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred, Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs and assists with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations and interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs during cardiac catheterization
• Positions and immobilizes patients using head and shoulder braces per specified protocols
• Enters technical factors into computer systems following protocol for radiation beam and filming sequence
• Starts automatic contrast medium injections and activates fluoroscope and cinefluorography equipment to assist physicians
• Monitors multichannel data analysis systems for blood pressure, cardiac output, and respiration during procedures
• Provides patients with procedure explanations and clear discharge instructions
• Alerts physicians to changes in patient responses during procedures
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
• Candidates with a prior license disciplinary action will not be considered
