The SFS Counselor is accountable for ensuring that all aspects ofstudent billing and accounts are processed accurately, efficiently,and in compliance with institutional policies and federalregulations. This role has extensive contact with students,families, and campus partners and plays a critical part insupporting student success through timely and transparent accountmanagement. The qualified candidate works daily with students and families toresolve outstanding balances and establish payment plans. Maintainup-to-date knowledge of options and resources available to helpstudents meet their financial obligations. Prepares and maintains accurate student bills, including monthlybilling cycles. Collaborates with the Controller’s office to ensureaccurate reconciliation and reporting. Monitors outstanding balances and communicate regularly withstudents no longer enrolled. Ensures timely documentation andcollection of funds from external partners. Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two ormore years of experience in student accounts, bursar operations,billing, collections, or related financial operations stronglypreferred. Strong technical skills with student informationsystems, financial databases, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellentcommunication skills with the ability to provide clear, empathetic,and professional service to students and families.
