Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time contract position focuses on students in substantially separate classrooms, providing the specialized instruction and care essential to their academic and developmental success.

You will work with K-1st grade and 3rd-5th grade students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities. Many of the students require substantial support; some are non-verbal or on the autism spectrum. Your expertise will help empower students to reach their potential in a welcoming and well-staffed classroom—some students are also supported by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Previous experience working with students with severe disabilities preferred
• Familiarity or experience with applied behavior analysis and specially designed instruction
• Ability to assist with toileting and other personal care
• Strong team player with excellent communication and documentation skills
• Flexibility, empathy, and a passion for supporting learners with unique needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students, adapting lessons to meet diverse needs
• Collaborate with other special education professionals, RBTs, and support staff
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Provide physical assistance, including toileting, as needed
